Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, installing, creating an account on, or using the VitalMaa mobile app ("VitalMaa", "the App", "we", "us") you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use VitalMaa.
VitalMaa is operated by Sai Rakshith Muda (individual developer, India).
2. VitalMaa is NOT medical advice
This is the most important term. Please read it carefully.
- VitalMaa is an informational and educational tool. It helps you track your health and learn evidence-based information.
- VitalMaa is not a doctor, not a hospital, not a medical device, and not a substitute for professional medical care.
- Vaidya is an AI assistant powered by Sarvam AI. Its replies are general information — it does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace a qualified medical professional.
- Always consult a licensed healthcare professional before starting/stopping medication, changing your diet, beginning an exercise program, or acting on any reading in the App.
- In a medical emergency, call 108 (India ambulance) or visit the nearest hospital immediately.
By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge that any action you take based on VitalMaa's content is your own responsibility.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to create a VitalMaa account on your own.
- If you are under 18, a parent or legal guardian must set up and operate the account and provide verifiable consent under the DPDP Act, 2023.
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login.
- Notify us promptly at vitalmaa.health@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or endanger other users.
5. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use VitalMaa for any purpose that violates Indian law.
- Impersonate another person or create an account without their consent.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code.
- Use VitalMaa to practice medicine or provide clinical diagnoses to others.
- Upload content that is obscene, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
- Bypass rate limits or Row-Level Security policies.
- Probe or attack our infrastructure. Responsible security research is welcome at vitalmaa.health@gmail.com.
6. Pricing
- This version of VitalMaa is free to download and use. There are no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or paid features at this time.
- We reserve the right to introduce paid features or subscription tiers in a future version. If we do, we will update these Terms and give you at least 14 days' notice before any charges can apply.
7. Content you provide ("User Content")
- You retain ownership of any data, photos, voice clips, and text you provide.
- You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your User Content solely to operate VitalMaa for you.
- We will not use your User Content to train any AI model, resell it, or share it with advertisers.
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of what you upload.
8. Our intellectual property
The VitalMaa name, logo, Vaidya character, UI design, copy, and codebase are owned by Sai Rakshith Muda. You may not use our trademarks or copyrighted material without prior written consent. Open-source libraries are used under their respective licences (listed in Settings → About → Open Source Licences).

VitalMaa integrates with the third-party services listed in our Privacy Policy — including Supabase, Sarvam AI, Google Firebase, Google Sign-In, Google Health Connect, MSG91, Cloudflare, Open Food Facts, and USDA FoodData Central. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
10.1 "As is" disclaimer
VitalMaa is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied.
10.2 No medical warranty
We do not warrant that the information is error-free, that Vaidya's replies are accurate in your situation, that the App will be uninterrupted, or that your health will improve as a result of using it.
10.3 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VitalMaa, its owner, and sub-processors shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed ₹1,000 (One Thousand Indian Rupees), given that the App is provided free of charge.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by gross negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot legally be excluded under Indian law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify VitalMaa, its owner, and sub-processors from any claim arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or your violation of any third-party right.
12. Termination
- You may stop using VitalMaa and delete your account at any time.
- We may suspend or terminate your account with or without notice if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if your continued use would harm other users.
- Sections that should survive termination (disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) continue to apply.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
- Governed by the laws of the Republic of India.
- Disputes subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
- Before any legal proceeding, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution by writing to vitalmaa.health@gmail.com and allowing 30 days for response.
14. Changes to these Terms
If a change is material, we will notify you in-app and by email (if we have one) at least 14 days before it takes effect.
